Pitching to Journalists
Fublis has journalists registered from across the globe. To streamline your search for the right journalist(s), Fublis offers filters designed to cater to your specific needs:
Location: Easily locate journalists based in particular regions or those seeking stories within specific areas, ensuring your pitch is geographically targeted.
Publication Type: Tailor your pitch to journalists associated with your preferred publication type, whether it’s magazines, newspapers, online platforms, or social media channels.
Role Type: Identify media professionals based on their roles, whether they’re editors, writers, or other key figures, allowing you to target individuals relevant to your story’s scope and importance.
Categories: With stories spanning diverse categories—from architecture and design to business and technology—choose the relevant category for your press release to connect with journalists interested in your niche.
The steps to pitching your story to a journalist are as follows:
 1. Navigate to Pitch Story Page: Access the sidebar menu and select the “Journalists” tab. Browse through the list of journalists and choose the one whom you want to submit your story. Click on “Submit Story” to proceed.
2. Select Associated Publication: Choose whichever publication out of the list of journalist’s associated publications that you want to pitch your story for.
3. Choose the Media Kit: Select the appropriate media kit.
4. Craft a Personalised Message: Write a concise yet impactful message to the journalist, highlighting the key points of your press release and why it would be of interest to their audience. Ensure your message is unique and tailored to resonate with the journalist. Hit Submit and you’re done pitching your story.
You can send the pitch to as many more journalists relevant to you. Or you can go for an exclusive and give access to only a certain publication.
Alternative Method: Pitching from the Journalists Page
1. Go to Pitch Story > Journalists.
2. Select the journalist you would like to pitch your story to. Use the filters to shortlist the journalists who may find your story relevant.
3. Click on Submit Story.
4. Choose the associated publication that you would like to pitch for.
5. Select the media kit you wish to pitch and click next.
6. You’ll be now required to write a personalised message to the journalist about your story. Click Submit and your story has been pitched.
